Hello everyone! Did you miss me? Because I missed you twice as much. I remembered you in my prayers a few times. It feels amazing to be back and writing to you again. Thank you for sticking with me through my not-so-little hiatus. 💛

So, it’s been two months, huh? How on earth did we survive without one another? Are your “quality time lungs” still holding up? Haha.

Honestly, I had planned a completely different letter for this return. But last night, I thought, “Why not share some highlights from my time away?” Sound like a plan?

Let’s catch up! (No particular order here)

🪷. I finally got over a crush that once had me in knots. No, not that one. The other, other one. (Girl math, if you know, you know!) I intend to keep it that way until further God’s notice. Want to live in my head, pretty boy? You can no longer do it rent-free. Upgrade to premium plan. Or bounce.

🪷. My personal devotion has gotten some recalibration. This isn’t because I have it all together everyday (because I don't). But something I always remember:

“If you cannot fly, run. If you cannot run, walk. If you cannot walk, crawl, but by ALL means, make progress in your devotion.” - Apostle Emmanuel Iren.

🪷. Substack writers are something else. Seriously. I spent a lot of time just soaking in incredible newsletters and unwinding. I may or may not have binge-read my way to a few late nights. So, if you're a writer reading this, well-done. 💐

🪷. Speaking of writing, this break was like a recharge for my creativity. Prompts upon prompts. Ideas upon ideas. You need to watch this space because my drafts folder is bursting at the seams! (Cue in song “coming in hot.”)

🪷. I finally joined the stewards at the church I’d been attending in school for over a year now. I’m serving in the prayer department—well, actually we’re called “The Fragrance.” It’s been pretty amazing so far, especially because I stalled for a while.

🪷. I resumed my fourth year in pharmacy school. It already feels like a weapon fashioned, but never against me. How do you explain offering fifteen courses in one semester? The chaotic lab sessions? Or the endless financial demands?

For the joy set before me. . .

🪷. I resurrected my Spotify account after what felt like forever! Airtel has a thing against it, apparently, so I’ve resorted to using VPN. I’ve discovered some amazing music and promise to share a playlist soon… once I stop procrastinating, that is.

On repeat.

🪷. On the last day in October, I got some “funds of affirmation” haha. Actually, more like a “miracle credit alert.” It's funny because my friend, Temi, and I were joking about unexpected alerts a few days ago. And boom! One showed up for me soon enough. To my benefactor (if you’re reading this), thank you once more. It was really one of my God-wink moments.

🪷. I’ve been sleeping like a rock. In the middle of the present economic state and school’s endless demands, sleep has been my peace. Somehow, I’ve been able to take life as it comes without stressing too much.

How, you ask? I have a diet. This is something on the menu.

🪷. And finally, coming back from this break is its own memory. Being here with you, catching up like this—well, it doesn’t get better than that. Does it?
