You see that part where you wrote “We are prone to Spiritual and emotional amnesia”, I could relate like crazy. I could pray right now, feel good because God reminded me of his promises, and the next day my mind is spiraling again. It helps to write down his words and put them everywhere; on my phone, on the walls in my room like everywhere.
I could relate to this a lot and I’m glad we have a good God who loves us irrespective of our short memory. He loved Joshua and kept reassuring him till it got to the point where he had to threaten him because fear was taking a toll on the dude.😂
Thank you, Adebola. I’m definitely going to reread this.❤️
Girl, the e loop is crazyyyyyy. One moment we're feeling all reassured and happy like we're the only ones Jesus loves, the next, we slip into feeling like crap again 😭. Thank God for His Word o! Because omooooo.
‘If your identity is in Christ, you didn’t audition for this role. Grace cast you.’ Linesss. I felt that.
I wish I had gotten reassurance from my parents, especially from my dad who's now deceased. But I've just accepted that many African parents just never will say ‘I love you’, but they do care.
I do want to say it to my children, though. I know how much it would have meant to me if my parents had reassured. But I move, nonetheless.
My journals does help me recall God's faithfulness a lot. Recently, I've been going through some financial situations, and unlike before, I'm just relaxed. I don't even know how God will provide but I just trust enough — that He loves me too much to leave me financially stranded.
God goes with you in your exams in Jesus' name, Adebola.
Girl, come here🥹🫂. I'm hugging you tight—really tight.
The vulnerability in this just disarmed me right now. Oh! But thank God you've come to know your place in your Heavenly Father. I'm happy about yhe comfort and help the Lord has brought you. May you never lose your wonder, Oritsejolomisan. 💗
